Pavers

Materials

We use Borgert and Belgard, the top names in paver supply, to ensure the highest quality materials are used. There are many colors to choose from. The variety of colors can be used to create single borders, double borders, or decorative inlays like a compass point which you can see in the paver patio pictured.

Paver Patio

Construction Process

The first step in paver construction is the basework. Underneath the pavers there is always at least 4″ of compacted road base and 1″ of leveling sand to ensure a strong steady foundation that is resistant to settling. This means that we excavate 8″ to create space for the base and the pavers which are 3″ tall. After the base is done and the pavers are set, the gaps are filled with polymeric sand which sets up hard so that it doesn’t just wash away.

What about a Raised Paver Patio?

As you can see, not all patios or walkways can be set at ground level. In this case, we use wall block in a complimentary color to build up to the correct level and then fill the space behind the wall with road base.
