The islands of mulch break up the sea of rock and create visual interest. This project used xeric plants like yucca to ensure that they were being water conscious. The right plant choices make a xeriscape beautiful to look at as well as using low amounts of water. The boulder placement also make the areas without plants interesting. All together this project is a great example of what a xeriscape can be.
