This back yard needed a bit more than a pick-me-up. Tired garden boxes with weeds 3′ tall, a lawn that was struggling to compete with weedy overgrowth, and uneven paths of pavers and steppers that didn’t offer much stability for walking on made the yard difficult to live in. A complete overhaul was the remedy. With priorities sorted we got to work removing the unwanted garden boxes and the remaining lawn. All of the weeds were disposed of and groundwork was laid for a stunning, and most importantly, functional space. The sand box stayed and around it was built a patio of 24×24″ concrete pavers for family gatherings. A new lawn edged with shade trees and flowering perennials went in. Irrigation was adjusted, and finally this small yard was ready to live up to the big dreams of its owners.
